We have listed some common frequently asked questions (FAQ) regarding our group, however if there is anything we haven’t covered or you wish to ask a particular question then please get in touch.

Q. How does my son / daughter join your group?


A. Start by completing the membership enquiry on the home page, click ‘join us’ - we will contact you soon after.

Q. I am an adult, how to i get involved?


A. We have many adults in our group, some help out occasionally and some are leaders, it depends on how much time you would like to contribute. Send us an email or complete the membership enquiry (link on the home page)

Q. How much does it cost?


A. Full members pay on a term basis, which is £15, new comers pay weekly £2.50. The money is payable on pack / troop night to your leader.

Q. When do you meet?


A. Check out the section pages, these have all the info you need on a particular section.

Q. What age groups are available?


A. Beavers 6-8 yrs, Cubs 8-11 yrs, Scouts 11-14 yrs, Explorer 14-18 yrs & Network 18-21yrs

Q. What activities do you do?


A. Our activities include: camping, hiking, walking, exploring, kayaking, canoeing, wild camping, playing games (indoor and outdoor), cooking on fires, off road mountain biking & having a great time.

Q. are there any other groups in this area?


A. yes, but we are the best!!!

Q. How often do you camp?


A. We camp throughout the year, yes, that includes winter too!

Q. My child has special needs, can they still join?


A. As each special need is different you would need to meet with us to discuss the situation, you may have to provide a carer / adult to supervise your child, but the group does accept everyone.
